Pull-out
Tap the pencils out. Mind the tray.
Each pencil points one way. Tap it, and if nothing stands in its way it slides off the mat. A pencil of the front box's colour goes into the box; any other waits in the tray. Three pencils fill a box, it rolls away, and the waiting pencils of the next colour hop in. The tray holds five: fill it and nothing else can come out.
Rubber bands. Two banded pencils leave together, and both need a clear way out.
Paper clips. A clipped pencil stays put until you've made that many pulls.
Ink blots. Ink blocks the way until a pencil of its colour is out.
40 levels in four chapters, each bringing one new idea. Stars for the fewest pencils parked, a hint whenever you want one, and restart is free. Two boosters help when you're stuck: an extra tray slot, and undo. Every fifth level from 10 is against the clock.
Best on a phone, in portrait.
About this project. Pull-out is a design portfolio piece by Umut Eren Demirci. Every level's best line is found by a solver, and every mechanic was kept only after the solver showed it changes the par or the tray a level needs; the design documents are at https://umuterendemirci.github.io. Built in Unity with an AI coding assistant (Claude): I designed the game, set the rules, the chapter plan and the tuning, and reviewed every build. There are no ads or purchases.
